Your essential DIY electronic music lowdown: Track Of The Week: Curtain Twitcher + Album Of The Week: A'Bear + The Leaf Library + JQ & Richard Pike + Andrew Tasselmyer + more...
Hottest ticket in town! My meet up list is growing! So far it includes Jon Do It Thissen, Dean Honer, Ron Wright, Buried Treasure's Alan Gubby... would be great to say hello, cakes a bonus!
This is such a good question. I don't know! I think everyone lives in their own corners of the musical world these days, Moonbuilding included, so it's very difficult for people to rally around one artist. There's nothing like 'Top Of The Pops' or the weekly music press anymore either. All of which make it very difficult for artists to have that "cultural green light effect" as you neatly put it. If I think of anyone I'll let you know!
Lovely edition Neil! Big thanks for including qd41 Andrew Tasselmyer 🙏💚
Thanks so much for including me and for the kind words!
My pleasure. Keep up the good work.
Insightful. What contemporary artists do you see having that same kind of cultural green light effect, you always capture such moments briliantly.
Great edition! Thanks so much for including us Neil, let us know if you fancy tea and cakes before the Cabs gig!
